Harvard has invited all Up to Us participants to compete in "Road to 2092: Save Social Security" -- a nation-wide competition led by Senator Heitkamp (D - ND) and Gary Cohn (11th Director of the NEC, former President of Goldman Sachs).
Any college or graduate student team in the country can submit a proposal on how to fix social security, an issue that I'm sure you all know is closely tied to the national debt. Senator Heitkampand Gary Cohn will fly the team that produced the most compelling proposal to Washington, D.C., where they will present their ideas to Congress and the Trump Administration. Registration closes Wednesday, April 10 and materials will be released on Saturday, April 13. Additionally, for students in the Boston-regional area, there will be an optional in-person hackathon with food, surprise guests and mentors on April 14.
