Prior to serving in Congress, Representative Gooden served three terms in the Texas state legislature. As a freshman Member of Congress, Representative Gooden’s policy priorities include banning sanctuary cities and immigration reform, protecting the second amendment, promoting and supporting public education, caring for veterans, tax reform and tackling the national debt. Representative Gooden was appointed to the House Financial Services Committee.
