Before serving in Congress, Representative Allred played in the NFL for the Tennessee Titans; however, after a career-ending injury he left sports and became a civil rights attorney. As a Congressman, his top priorities are lowering health care costs, protecting Medicare and Social Security, education, infrastructure, immigration reform and creating an economy that works for everyone. In the 116th Congress, he has been named to the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, House Foreign Affairs Committee, and House Veterans' Affairs Committee.
