Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, or “AOC” as she is commonly referred to, is most known for her defeat of 10-term incumbent and Democratic Caucus Chair Congressman Joe Crowley and for being the youngest woman ever to serve in Congress. Representative Ocasio-Cortez has been vocal on a number of her policy priorities including Medicare for all, fully funded public schools and universities, paid family and sick leave and a universal jobs guarantee. She was recently named to the House Financial Services Committee.
