Up to Us, the nationwide program that has been empowering students to educate their peers on our fiscal issues since 2013, is launching its annual campus competition for its fifth year.

The 2016-2017 Up to Us Campus Competition includes teams from 75 colleges and universities in 40 states across the country and will once again kick off with the annual My Two Cents Day. During My Two Cents Day, participants will host a range of engaging activities to educate fellow students on the long-term national debt while gathering signatures for a non-partisan pledge to take a stand for their fiscal futures and ask elected officials and presidential candidates for a plan.

Returning to campuses inspired and energized from the Net Impact Conference in Philadelphia, PA, participants will execute a “Wildcard Activity” focused on creating high-quality engagement on campus and promoting solutions-oriented thinking.

Since 2013, Up to Us has engaged close to 100,000 millennials in-person with hundreds of thousands more reached via social media and digital outreach. This year Up to Us hopes to engage over 60,000 students throughout the year, reach four million others through social media and collect 25,000 signatures for the Up to Us pledge to urge our elected representatives to take action on these critical issues.
