Thousands of students across the country activated their peers to stand up and have a say in how we handle the growing national debt during Up to Us’ annual day of action, My Two Cents Day.

My Two Cents Day is led by students, for students. Millennials are the generation most affected by the national debt and therefore their engagement is crucial for the economic future of our country.

See our recap of My Two Cents Day and the inspirational and impactful events led by our 2016 participants:

Finally, students shared photos on social media of their peers recording their “two cents” about the national debt.

My Two Cents Day is the official kick-off for the Up to Us Campus Competition, which empowers students to educate their peers on the long-term national debt, how it could affect their economic opportunities, and what their generation can do to have a say in addressing fiscal challenges. Students are now executing a “Wildcard Activity” focused on creating high-quality engagement on campuses around the country.
