It’s week 2 and we’re are so.freaking.pumped about what the future holds for us! Our kickoff party last week was a raging success, with about 100 students attending and engaging in conversations about the national debt. This photo shows a small snapshot of the people who were gathered and curious to know more about Up To Us.

We had games like “topple the debt” which involved students trying to knock over a tower of cups with a paper ball. And our brick got lots of attention! You’ll understand why we love the brick metaphor once you check out our video.

One of our prouder moments occurred while I was in class today and the professor asked how many of us had heard of Up to Us and to my pleasant surprise, about 10 people in a class of 40 people raised their hands! Week 2 and 25% of today’s class? I will not complain! The professor also offered extra credit for anyone who takes the FB quiz. DOUBLE WIN.

Overall though, we’re so excited and honored to be a part of this competition and are all having a great time being involved. We plan on hanging out with our neighbors, the Northwestern team, in the near future and see how they’re doing!

Good luck everyone, and have a blast
