Up to Us leader, Caroline C. from the University of Maryland, took her experience with Up to Us to USA TODAY COLLEGE in the form of an op-ed centered around why college students should be concerned with the national debt.

Caroline addressed the March 15 debt ceiling expiration and President Trump’s budget plan, as relevant and serious implications on her generation’s future, urging others to take notice and take action.

“What does long-term debt mean for millennials? Much more than you may think. With the national debt projected to hit $20 trillion this year, no one has more at stake in how America confronts its fiscal challenges than our generation. It’s our economic future on the line.”
